X-Border Safaris

  • Description: Our X-Border Safaris are a unique way to
    discover the natural beauty of Lapland! In winter
    time we travel mainly with Snowmobiles through
    the snow covered forests and over the frozen
    wetlands. We will discover the Taiga and Tundra
    areas as well as the rigid mountains along the
    Swedish-Norwegian and Finnish-Norwegian
    border. The nights we will spend in cosy little
    Inn’s and wilderness camps, but also luxury Spa
    Hotels are possible. How about an overnight in
    the worlds famous ICEHOTEL? Instead of
    everything with the Snowmobile, how about
    changing in the middle of the week to a Huskyteam?
    During the summer months the region is fantastic
    to explore by hiking and canoeing. The many
    rivers give us an excellent opportunity to
    discover the wildlife above the Arctic Circle!
    Wouldn’t it be great to discover one of the largest
    bifurcations of the world by canoe and spend the
    night in an old forestry school? Besides of using
    the river as a means of transportation, it also
    provides us with our food. There are also
    numerous possibilities for hiking and biking tours!
  • Duration: Our X-Border Trips last from 1 up to 10 days,
    depending on the sites you wish to visit.
  • Services: Our tour guides speak fluent Swedish, Finnish
    and English (German and French on request)
  • Age: In winter there is an age limit of 16 to drive the
    Snowmobiles and 18 for the Huskys. In summer
    there is no age limit, although it is not
    recommended for infants.
  • Equipment: Lapland Event In Sweden provides you with all
    equipment needed! Please ask for detailed
    packing lists.
