Snowmobile safaris

• 1 hour snowmobile safari:
  A snowmobile safari that is suitable for beginners. You can learn to drive and handle a snowmobile
  in a correct way, after which you are ready for longer safaris.
  1 person per snowmobile: 77 €/pers
  2 persons per snowmobile: 48 €/pers

• 2 hour snowmobile safari
  The 2 hour safari includes a short stop for a warm drink, and the driving takes you through varied
  terrain and landscapes: a safari suitable also for beginners and families.

• 3 hour snowmobile safari
  Through the forest and over frozen wetlands towards a beautiful halfway stop,
  where we will make a fire and have some coffee.

• 4 hour snowmobile safari
  This safari includes a stop for a light lunch and “cowboy coffee” boiled over an open fire,
  and our guide will also teach you how to handle the snowmobile in deep snow.

• Crossborder Safari “Two countries on a snowmobile”
  After safety and clothing instructions we are ready for our one day adventure visiting our
  neighbouring country Finland. We start out, heading for the Swedish Finnish border where we will
  have a coffee stop.
  The route offers varied nature, including forest, wetlands, and fell areas. Our destination in Finland
  is Ylläs Ski Resort, and on arrival we will have lunch and also visit some Finnish handicraft shops.
  The safari gives a lot of driving and beautiful scenery along the way, and the total driving distance
  is some 150 km by the time we arrive back at the Hotel.

• Northern Light Safari
  On this safari we will head out to the wilds where we make coffee over an open fire, and hopefully
  the beautiful Northern Lights will dance in the sky for us to admire.
  Our guide will tell ancient stories and give us facts about this magic light, and to have the best
  chance to see this, we start in the evening hour when everything else also feels magic.

• Ice-fishing safari
  Ice-fishing safari, the only thing between you and the fish is your skill and a metre of ice. The
  snowmobile has taken us to a lake and the ice fishing will soon give us results. The beautiful game
  fish will be grilled over the open fireplace. We visit the lakeside cabin, and while we get warm with
  a cup of coffee we listen to great stories from a fisherman with long experience.

• Overnight safari
  Before the safari starts, together we load the snowmobiles with all we will need for our overnight
  stay in the forest, then leaving the hotel in the afternoon, we head out to a cottage, and on arrival
  we will together prepare the cottage, sauna and dig out a fireplace in the snow and do everything
  else we need .Later on, dinner is prepared over an open fire, and when the sauna is ready, and we
  have melted snow for shower water, we have the opportunity to try a wood sauna – the simple oldfashioned
  kind. The rest of the evening is for relaxing and enjoying our outdoor adventure in the
  wilderness. The safari will certainly stay in your memory, an extraordinary experience you can only
  get in complete silence, and magic nature.

• Reindeer farm safari
  We visit a reindeer farm and our Sámi (Lappish) guide teaches us about the reindeer and reindeer
  herding past and present. In the tepee or lávvu we sit down and relax on reindeer skins placed
  around the open fire, the árran. Nursing a cup of coffee boiled over the sparkling fire, we listen to
  stories of a lifestyle beyond the ordinary. If you wish you can have a lesson in how to throw a lasso
  the way only a reindeer herder can, and you have the opportunity to see, touch and experience
  reindeers and reindeer herding at close quarters.
