Mystical Adventure through Lapland

Short Description: Experience the mystical sides of winter in Lapland! The vast
open areas of the Lappish Tundra, the old forest of the Taiga
and the frozen rivers; flowing gently through the surreal
landscapes. The best way to experience this is by huskies,
snowmobile and snowshoes. We combine all during this
adventurous week through one of the last untouched parts
of the World!

Day 1 Arrival
We will be waiting for you at the airport and will bring you to
your Hotel (Ylläs or Pajala) where you will check-in for the
first night of our journey. After dinner we will have a last
briefing where you will get the latest information about our
trip, the weather and track conditions. You will also have the
chance to use the Sauna and Spa section of the Hotel!

Day 2 Pajala/Ylläs - Rajamaa
After breakfast we will pick you up at the Hotel and we will
go to our Safari house where everyone will get his own
Snowmobile. After strapping up our entire luggage on to the
snowmobiles and getting dressed, it is time for a short
driving instruction.
Now we are ready to leave and explore the beautiful
landscapes. After our outdoor lunch break we will keep on
going to our first overnight stop at Rajamaa. During the late
afternoon we will have time to try some ice fishing on the
river surrounding the island.

Day 3 Rajamaa – Kangos
Today we will head south, back into the forest lands. We will
be driving over swamps and through some of the oldest
forest in the area. During our relaxing driving we will have
plenty of time for stops to enjoy the nature around us.
After our outdoor lunch we will tdrive the last part to
Kangos, where the wood heated outdoor sauna and the hot
tub will be waiting for us. We will stay overnight in the lovely
Kangos Inn, where you can also see a collection of antiques.

Day 4 Kangos – Wilderness Camp
We start this tour with getting to know the Huskies and get
instructions from the guide how to mush your own team of
Huskies. Then we hide out in the wilderness. We move along
frozen rivers and beautiful pine tree-forests that are
shimmering white.
In the evening we will reach the timber cabin where we are
going to spend the night. The sauna will be warmed up
before dinner and then we enjoy dinner made out of
specialities from Lapland.

Day 5 Wilderness Camp – Kangos
After a good night sleep we will start preparing our sleighs
for the way back towards reality. Enjoy the quietness of the
forests surrounding us! After we arrive back at the Husky
camp it is time to thank our dogs for the last two days. We
will stay overnight again at the Kangos Inn.

Day 6 Kangos – Tärendö
Today we will have an easy drive through the forests to
Tärendö where we will stay overnight beside the second
largest bifurcation in the World at the Forest Hotel. In the
later afternoon our guide will take us out with snowshoes,
and for those who want, there will also be the possibility for
some more ice-fishing. In the evening we will enjoy the large
wood heated hot tub and the saunas.

Day 7 Tärendö – Pajala/Ylläs
After breakfast it is time to start our return journey either to
Pajala or Ylläs.

Day 8 Departure
After breakfast we will have to say good bye to the mystical
sceneries of Lapland. We will have a bus transfer back to the
airport.

Equipment: All equipment needed during the week (Snowmobiles,
Helmets, thermal driving gear, thermal gloves, thermal
boots, Snowshoes, Husky teams, Ice fishing equipment,
sleeping bags)

Driving License needed yes (min 125ccm, or a license acknowledged by the Swedish
government to drive snowmobiles)
